Southmedic Bite Block Endotracheal Tube Protectors is designed to fit multiple sizes of endotracheal tubes (ET Tubes). An ET Tube is a catheter inserted into the trachea through the mouth or nose used to maintain an open air passage to deliver oxygen or permit suctioning of mucus or to prevent aspiration of the stomach contents. It is used to help prevent occlusion of the ET Tube when sedated patients bite down.
