Atos Medical Provox Standard LaryTube is a soft silicone tube that helps maintain the stoma after laryngectomy surgery (surgery done in order to treat cancer of the larynx). It is also done to treat Severe trauma, such as a gunshot wound or other injury. Atos Lary Tube can be used to attach a Provox HME or a Provox FreeHands Speaking Valve which offers many benefits like immediate postoperative, during radiotherapy, and consideration for users with sensitive skin.

How to Use Atos Tracheostomy Lary Tube?

How to Insert?

  • Lightly moisten the tube with a water-soluble lubricant
  • Insert the Provox LaryTube into the tracheostoma
  • Attach the Provox LaryTube with Provox LaryClip, TubeHolder, or an adhesive
  • Insert the Provox HME or FreeHands HME into the cassette holder

How to Remove?

  • Hold the provox larytube in place and remove the provox HME system component from the tube.
  • Remove the provox larytube from the stoma.

 

Cleaning Instructions

  • Scrub thoroughly in a hot water-soap solution.
  • Do not use synthetic detergents or oily-based soaps.
  • Rinse copiously in hot water and follow with a thorough rinse in distilled water.
  • Clean the Provox LaryTube using a Provox TubeBrush. The Provox Brush can be used to clean the punctures of a Provox LaryTube with holes.
  • Can be disinfected with boiling water for 5 – 10 minutes.
  • Let the Provox LaryTube cool before reinsertion.
